I bought my first matchbox of pot for $5 at the age of 15 (1965) and had my first Thai Stick in the late 60's. The Chocolate Thai strain is alive and well. I have lived in Thailand for over 30+ years and you can still find old abandoned Chocolate Thai farms high in the mountains of northern Thailand (Mae Hong Song, Chiangrai, etc.

This elusive strain is a "Blast from the Past"... Chocolate Thai unless grown in a tropical environment is a low-yield and lower THC contender compared to modern strains. I would give 5 stars if it were consistently available. But this legend can be appreciated and is a favorite! A landrace Sativa, it also has classic Indica results as it is dank, musty, and aromatic. Cru has a great example that reminds me of the original. Others are experimenting with this strain. Just remember that Chem Dog hails from similar lineage, and like its cousin, Nepali, is the greatest example of why true Thai is a jewel.
