I would say if you were smoking herb on the east coast anywhere between the mid 90's up until 2008, you know all about this one. Bastard nuggets! These buds were thick, dense, and covered in red/orange hairs (sometimes yellow). Nugs were usually wet and smelled like hay from being shipped from Canada. There were a handful of times mold developed from moisture. I have a love/hate relationship with Beaster. At one point, this was considered Chronic/Kind bud in my area, and it was overpriced as well. A gram looked like a bowl pack due to the density and moisture. I'm sure this strain is awesome when grown/dried/cured correctly. It's a very sleepy strain and one I wouldn't mind revisiting after all these years. For now, R.I.P Beaster. you'll forever be in my heart. Also, good riddance, you Canadian scum lol.

This strain was the main strain of Montreal ten years ago plus 2004-2009. I smoked it many times. It was an affordable decent weed. Bit of a heavy body high, but also made me feel aroused, and in a good mood. Problems with M-39 often then was it was often rushed, and not eased off it’s feedings or flushed, and would have dark ash with harsh smoke and dried flower that wouldn’t stay lit well in joints. Mostly it was middle of the road smoke and what I normally got was finished okay. It grows fairly ease from colons, and it grown outdoors as well, then known as Quebec Gold.

I used to smoke a lot of that when I was younger, around 20 years ago. This was very popular in Quebec back then and very cheap. ''Tu veux-tu du 39 l'gros?'' I wouldn't say it's a particularly remarkable weed, even when properly grown. It probably was back then but now the strains have become so much better that unless you enjoy low-to-medium THC weed (some do and it's totally fine) I would go for something else.

Got an ounce of m39 for 150 bucks. I was expecting it to be mediocre quality but the nugs are big and frosty and the weed smells very piney with some citrus. It has a fairly long high and a pretty nasty burn out. Its definitely not something you'd wanna smoke everyday but overall I was pleasantly surprised with this strain
